Love Sonnet

Valentine's day is coming up and my boyfriend and I decided to make each others gifts this year. I've written a sonnet to go with my gift, but I'm by no means a writer. So I need your help with comments and critique! Please take a look and let me know what you think...

Halloween ^_^

Wed Oct 29, 2008, 2:33 AM
  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: My keystrokes on this loud keyboard
  • Reading: Lonely Werewolf Girl - Martin Millar
  • Drinking: Hot chocolate ^_^
So it's been a really long time since I've updated or even been on deviantart. I started my Masters degree this past summer and it has taken up most of my spare time. Not to mention that I just got back from Morgan Grand Nationals, and my horse Mira has moved closer to home. So I've had a lot of things going on. I just got a new scanner, so I'm hoping that I might get some new art in here soon (maybe just some sketches from me being bored in class... but we'll see).

I'm really into the new HBO series True Blood. I decided to dress as Sookie Stackhouse for Halloween this year. I don't think that anyone will know who I am - but I don't really care. You can see pics of my costume in my gallery.

Other than the usually daily grind, and being insanely busy, I'm doing alright. Thanks everyone for sticking with me!

Brrrrrrr.....

I had a really hard time motivating myself to get out of bed this morning. The weather has been really cold (after it teased us with a 75oF day on Monday of course). I pretty much just didn’t want to get out of my warm bed to go and have to spend at least 15 minutes scraping all the ice off of my car (after the 5 minute walk to get to it). But, I somehow motivated myself… which is how I’m putting this down right now.

So I’m currently in the middle of my final semester for my Bachelor’s degree. My senior project is kicking my butt. I’m in the middle of research – which is turning out to be much harder than I had originally planned on :sigh: But I’m grinding it out. I’ve also just gotten back into riding after a year and a half break. I’m going to get to show my horse Mira this year. I can’t wait until my first show at the end of April. I’ve waited so long for her to get old enough for me to ride her – and now that time is here

I found out about my new workgroup today. I’m in a group with some really talented artists. It really motivates me to want to draw more. I want to get better, and I want to keep expanding. So hopefully I will get some art out soon.

To everyone in the northern hemisphere – stay warm!

Broken Scanner & Kiriban

So it's been a while since I last updated - and now it seems like it is going to be that much longer. I went home to use my scanner to put up all my new drawings - until I found out that my scanner is broken. Technology is not my friend this week :finger:

So other than my technology problems I haven't had to much going on other than the usual school and work. I have a serious case of senioritis (I finish in April). I've been finding it harder and harder to concentrate on my school work - let alone actually doing any of it.

NOTE: NEXT KIRIBAN IS AT 5000!
Please take a screen capture and private message me if you catch the kiriban.

Sorry for the slow updates - I'm working on the situation currently. Thanks for stickin' with me!

First Show!

Wed Aug 29, 2007, 4:56 AM
  • Mood: Delighted
  • Listening to: Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls
  • Reading: My homework assignment
  • Eating: Breakfast Bagel
  • Drinking: OJ to go with my breakfast bagel
So I just got back from my horse’s first show ever! I was so pleased with how she is turning out – considering the money that I spend on her I would hope so... Lol =p. Mira was pretty well behaved at the show... especially for a three year old. Mira took Reserve Champion in the Junior Horse (3-4 year olds) hunter pleasure division. I couldn’t be more proud. I also can’t wait until next year when I show her myself. I think that she is going to make an awesome 4-year old. (You can see pictures of Mira and my trainers in my gallery).

I also just got back from Las Vegas. I went out to support my boyfriend while he was playing pool with his team in the APA league team National event. They ended up taking 9 out of 700 0.o I am so proud!!

My fall semester just started again as well... but the good news is that I should hopefully (cross my fingers) graduate with my B.S. degree in Information Systems this upcoming April. Hopefully this will mean that I will have more time to devote to drawing.

I've signed up to participate in :iconshishimai: character design project [link]
Hopefully I will have that finished/posted soon.

Bear with me and my slow updates – And thank you all for the support!
